  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • 9x13-inch baking pan
  • Spatula
  • Microwave-safe bowl

Method

  1. Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second bursts, stirring between each until smooth and glossy.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter and honey, then stir until the mixture is smooth and creamy, with a slightly sticky texture.
  4. Fold in the oats, mixing until evenly incorporated and the mixture starts to hold together.
  5. Press the peanut butter and oat mixture firmly into the prepared pan, creating an even layer with a spatula or your hands.
  6. Pour the melted chocolate over the pressed mixture, spreading it evenly with a spatula to cover the surface completely.
  7. Refrigerate the pan for at least 2 hours or until the chocolate is set and the bars are firm.
  8. Use a sharp knife to cut the chilled bars into squares or rectangles of your desired size.
  9. Serve the bars on a plate and enjoy their chewy, creamy, and slightly crunchy texture.
